Another year older
Another year has come and gone. I guess I am officially closer to 40 than 30... Scott and I went to lunch together. It was fun to have a date in the middle of the day. Tonight during dinner Abby asked just how Daddy helped make the baby growing in my tummy. I said "It's a magic hug between and Mommy and a Daddy." She then said "Show me!" What a fun moment!

Hershey's Chocolate World
We visited Hershey's Chocolate World today as well as the Hershey's Museum. The girls had a lot of fun checking out all the candy and getting to make their own candy bar. We all got to design our candy bar and the wrapper for it and watch it being made. We watched a 3D movie about Hershey and we let Abby pick where we sat. Wouldn't ya know it, but she picked the second row. It was way to close for us, but the kids loved being right there!
A 5 pound Hershey bar. It only had 10,000 calories!!!!

Hershey, PA
We drove to Hershey,PA for an overnight visit. We did a little shopping at the outlets and found a super cute coming home outfit for Baby Riley :) I am so excited to see him in it!!!! The girls got to pick out a stuffed animal at the Disney store. Abby picked out Dory from Finding Nemo and Mckenzie, chose a horse that she named Saltpepper. After dinner, we took the girls swimming in the hotel pool. Mckenzie was having a great time but she swallowed a little too much water and ended up throwing up. Scott managed to get her out of the water before too much got in the pool, but nonetheless, our visit to the pool was cut short! I felt bad for both girls because they were having so much fun and neither one wanted to leave :(

Snow
It started snowing out this afternoon so the girls and I headed out to play around. They had so much fun playing soccer and chasing one another and throwing snow at each other. They decided to make a "mountain" out of the snow and named it the Sister Snow Mountain. Mckenzie called it quits after a half an hour and I would have happily joined her, but Abby was not ready to come in. We stayed out for a little longer before heading in to warm up with some hot chocolate.

Hair Salon
Mckenzie and I took turns doing each others hair today. Hers, of course, was finished off with a tiara :) She loves to wear a tiara.
Abby excitedly reported that she progressed another level in reading at school. I am so happy that she enjoys reading and is doing so well with it. Too bad I can't get that same enthusiasm from her when it comes to doing her homework...

Organization
Looks like Scott has quite a bunch of things to put together!
No school today! Yay! It was nice to spend a relaxing day at home. I finally went through all the baby shower gifts and organized them. I need to get some baby laundry soap so I can get all these things laundered. Abby had dance this afternoon, but other than that, we didn't do much of anything.

33 Weeks!
I can't believe we are already 33 weeks. Where has the time gone?! I am getting so excited to meet our little boy, but sad at the same time to know this will be the last time I feel a baby grow inside. I will miss those kicks and hiccups and rolls. But, I look forward to seeing the smiles and all the firsts of our little boy. Those are more precious than anything in this world. Scott got home from his short trip in the middle of the night. Poor guy thought he would be able to come home, crawl into bed and peacefully drift off to sleep. Too bad for him my nesting is getting a little crazy and I probably went overboard on how we don't have anything ready for this baby. Sorry babe! Anyway, I took care of that craziness today and ventured out to the stores with my friend to get some baby gear. Scott would have come with, but Mckenzie is running a fever again :( It's hard to tell when she has a fever because it never seems to slow her down for long.

Sisters
They are so different in so many ways so it was cute to catch them sitting like this at the dinner table.
We went to the base today and each of us painted a piece of ceramics. Abby painted a castle bank, Mckenzie a horse, and I made an airplane for Baby boy. It was a lot of fun and I plan to take the girls again.

Flowers
Abby was a sleepy head this morning so I dropped her at school instead of rushing her off on the bus. Mckenzie and I just hung out and then she got to play with her friend this afternoon while I tended to some preschool stuff. She was not happy when I told her it was time to go home and had a full on sobbing session. I remember this stage with Abby and I was so thankful when it was over. Guess we are starting it all over again. Abby had Daisy's this evening so we now have cookies to sell! Yay! I hope Daddy is ready to take them into work again :)

Happy Sweet 7 Abby!
I wanted to surprise Abby by covering her doorway with streamers, but instead, she surprised me by showing up before six asking if it was time to get up. Maybe next year I will be more successful. I can't believe our first born is already 7! I look at her and the traces of baby are all gone. No more rolls or chubby fingers or chubby cheeks. Instead, those are replaced by muscles and cheekbones. She reads chapter books to me instead of me reading her board books. I love where she is at now, I just enjoy reminiscing about the days before. I asked her a few of her favorite things tonight after I told her the story of her birth. (I love how she fills in parts of the story now that she has heard it so many times before.)

Cupcakes
Sheri headed back home this morning :( It was such a great visit and I am still shocked that she surprised me with a visit! Mckenzie and I spent the afternoon doing what we do best lately. I "rested my eyes" while she watched 'My Little Ponies'. A nap sure felt good and gave me the boost I needed to take Abby to dance this afternoon.
Abby and Mckenzie helped me make cupcakes for Abby to take to school tomorrow.

We kind of took it easy today, just hanging out at the house. Sheri and I did run to Target to return a couple of extra bouncy seats (I got three of the same thing at the shower yesterday. I just have to say, I am overwhelmed at the generosity of my friends!!!) and to grab a Starbucks. Mckenzie was leader in Ooey Gooey so Sheri and I headed to the school a little early to do the clean up. Abby had dance this afternoon and other than that, we didn't do much of anything.

Birthday and Baby Celebrations!
Sheri and I took the girls for breakfast so Scott could sleep in as he had a night flight. When we got home, we let Abby open some of her birthday presents early so Scott could see. She was blown away at getting her very own camera. She has been asking for one for awhile now and it was fun to be able to surprise her with one!
My good friend, Dee, hosted a baby shower for me today. It was fabulous! She really knows how to throw a party. It was such a blessing to be able to celebrate with so many of my friends, both near and far, old and new. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I got side tracked once everyone started arriving. So, only photos of stuff and no people ones :(
