We took the girls to the beach today, stopping for lunch on the way. Abby has been asking to go for many months now and it was on her list of things to do with Daddy:) We decided to visit a beach that we haven't been to before and it turned out to be really nice. The sand was a lot nicer than any of the other beaches we have visited here and the beach gently sloped down to the water instead of a big drop off. The water itself was frigid to say the least, but the girls had fun getting their feet wet and looking for shells. The clasp on Abby's swimsuit broke so I had to do a little makeshift repair on it. It was only the second time she wore the suit so I am not very happy that it broke. Even though it was warm out, the wind was chilly and we only spent a few hours there before Mckenzie got too cold. I think Mckenzie would do well in California. She doesn't do well in hot weather or cold weather. Somewhere in the middle is where she is happy. Abby fell on the sidewalk on the way to the car and banged up her knees and toe. She got a rock stuck in the skin of her toe and she was so upset. I felt horrible for her as I was cleaning it out. But, we got her fixed up and put a movie in for her to watch and she was ok. (until we got home and she needed a bath:( poor girl gets so upset when she gets a cut.)
