I woke up to a delicious breakfast in bed, three beautiful children, and my handsome husband who is the reason I get to be a mom. I feel truly blessed to have welcomed another child this year, making Mother's Day even more special. And, I feel truly loved. Both girls worked hard on cards and presents for me. Just for me. Their mom. And the pride in their faces as I carefully read the cards and examined each gift was gift enough for me. I am lucky to be their mom and I love them to Pluto times infinity.
We visited to the beach today. Cooper's first and last trip to the shore here in Jersey. The girls had a great time playing in the sand and chasing the waves. The very, very cold waves. We ate lunch on the boardwalk and Abby ran into one of her little friends from school. J. T. is a sweet little boy in Abby's class and she talks about him all the time. J.T. this, J.T. that. We used to tease her that J.T. was her boyfriend and she would get so upset. Well today, she said she wouldn't mind if she married J.T.! Her first boy crush :) When did she get so big?! We took the kids on the amusement park rides before getting some ice cream (Mckenzie was super excited she could get both chocolate and vanilla mixed together) and calling it a day. Today was a wonderful day that only could have been better had we been able to see our Moms.
