Mckenzie was super tired tonight. She had swim class this morning and then she swam all afternoon at our friend's house. I have no idea how the kids managed to swim for so long with the water as cold as it was! I got in for a little bit, but I was too chicken to go any deeper than waist high! Mckenzie was cold, but she loves swimming so much she wasn't getting out of the pool. And Abby, well, she is like Scott and likes the cold water. The girls and I had another movie night. I just love snuggling with one girl on each side of me while we watch a movie together.

Today was Abby's last day of kindergarten :( I am sad and I can't believe this fall she will be in school all day. I am going to miss spending so much time with her. I know there have been days when I have thought I couldn't wait until she was in school full time. Now that it is fast approaching, I can't help but wish it wasn't coming so soon.
When I asked Abby about her day, the thing she was most excited about was getting to play outside. They normally don't get to do that so it was a special treat for sure!
Mckenzie's friend Ava came over to play this morning. Mckenzie was over the moon that she had a play date.
Scott left on a short trip early this morning so it was just the girls and I tonight. So, I decided to make it a movie night and we ate dinner and popcorn while watching Despicable Me. Cute show and the girls really enjoyed staying up late.

Scott got home early tonight so we headed out to Olive Garden for dinner. I think it is one of the kids' favorite places to eat. Mckenzie fell asleep about five minutes before we got there and didn't even wake up when Scott got her out of the car! She must have been so tired!
I really need to get some sort of organization system for all of our paperwork. (I always blame it on not having an office, but I'm pretty sure I have never had great organizational skills so that cannot be the real reason. I need to hire one of those people that come to your house and show you how to organize your stuff! ) We are planning a trip to Niagara Falls, Canada and I couldn't find our passports or Abby's birth certificate! Luckily, after a lot of searching, we managed to find everything we need for our vacation. I am looking forward to spending some time away and I am sure Scott feels the same!

Mckenzie went to a friend's house to play this morning. She had a huge smile on her face the entire drive and kept asking if we were there yet :)
Abby's end of the year party at school was today. I am so glad it was the last party because I am tired of trying to get people to work the parties and supply goodies. The benefit of having so few parents involved is that I get to be at the party. It was a great time! We made autograph books for the kids to have their friends sign as a way to remember their classmates. Some of the kids finished up faster than others, so Abby organized an impromptu game of ring around the rosie. All the kids eventually joined in! Some days I look at Abby and think she is so big and then I see her playing such a young game and I am reminded she really is still little!
On a side note, I found a camera that we have been missing for 2.5 years! We had it when we made the move from Florida to Oklahoma to here, but since we arrived here, it has been missing! It was in our closet tucked away in a purse I no longer use. I am going to have to blame this one on Scott since he gave me a new purse when we were living in temporary lodging when we first got here. Just kidding babe!

Scott went to Abby's school for a Father's day program. The kids wore baseball shirts/caps and sang a few songs for the dads. They had a snack and played a game of War. Abby won :) Scott didn't get any pictures from this morning, but he did video her and her classmates singing.
This is the end of the year gift we are giving to Abby's teacher. Thank you Pinterest for this great idea!

We ran some errands this morning and then we went to lunch. We ate at PF Changs, thinking the girls would love it as much as Pei Wei, but we were wrong. It was miserable trying to get them to eat and I can understand why, as the chicken we ordered for them wasn't very tasty at all.
She loves to play fetch :)

Mckenzie had a friend over this afternoon. The girls jumped from one toy to the next and left a tornado in their wake!
Abby spent the afternoon over at her friend's house and then went to her last Daisy meeting for the year. I am so glad she has had this opportunity to blossom as a Daisy and I look forward to what the coming year will bring her!

Our good friends took the girls to Storybook Land today. It was for Mckenzie's class trip. Every year the kids go there and they have such a good time. Scott wasn't able to take the time off of work and my leg wasn't up to going. I feel horrible that I couldn't take them myself, but I am so glad we have such amazing friends to help us out!
The girls had a blast! Abby told me she rode the roller coaster at least five times and Mckenzie enjoyed that one too! Mckenzie told me she didn't like the Turtle shell ride (Tilt a whirl). Guess she is like her mom :) They didn't get home until late afternoon, stopping for dinner along the way. All of the girls fell asleep on the way home, although Abby held out until the very end. She isn't much of a car sleeper anymore. Mckenzie had no problem napping, but that made it tough for her to fall asleep at bedtime. If she sleeps for even 10 minutes, she struggles to fall asleep at bedtime.
