I spent the morning baking in the kitchen. Abby and Scott helped by washing/cutting all the strawberries for me. I made strawberry muffins, strawberry bread, and strawberry pie. I can't believe we only have a small amount of strawberries left! I thought for sure we would have strawberries forever! We headed to the zoo this afternoon. It was one of the things Abby mentioned she wanted to do with Scott when he returned. The girls got their faces painted. Abby turned into a zebra and Mckenzie a koala bear. We should have waited until the end of the day to do it because it turned into a big mess. It was all over Mckenzie's clothes and it started running and getting in the girls' eyes. I think we will skip face painting until it gets cooler! Abby loved the giraffes and the penguins. Mckenzie really enjoyed the giraffes too. Even though the girls never mention it, they both love the seals. We spend so much time watching the seals and the girls laugh whenever the seals dive into the water. The girls had lots of fun and got a stuffed animal to mark the first time Scott was able to make it to the zoo with us.
